So I postponed the starting date two days because I got caught up in the weekend and forgot to take photos of what I was doing and then I had the WORST date ever on Saturday night. Oof, still recovering from that. I mean, jesus are all the sane, not dorky, not self-centered, salaried eligible men in Los Angeles taken? #EVIDENTLY
Today for breakfast I forgoe'd the delicious delicious bagels and went straight to a fruit drink and a banana. I mean if you're gonna go vegan, go vegan all the way and get healthy right? No way am I craving cream cheese and cheesy onion bagel....no way at all.....Ughh
Here's something cool that happened over the weekend. I got comissioned for my first paying social media job! (ooo!) and it got my mind a-turning and I realized that I should totally turn this into a freelance thing. I mean why not? I already do it for my work, might as well do some ish on the side. So next project is BellaWest Eco Salon, I'm looking right at you and the social media sexiness you're about to get.
In the True Perfection world, things are moving pretty swimingly there as well. Today the newest video was released featuring the lovely miss. Chloe Jane Clemons and her never dying love for True Perfection! Basically before we shot the actual show we shot some funny pre-production videos of the actors as their characters. I think they're hysterical. Sure they're ultra ultra low budget, but who the hell cares, it was fun!
Okay and lets talk about the mini lunch saga. I was SUPER stoked to be ordering from Blu Jam Cafe because I heard it had great vegan food, had great reviews. Everyone at the office was super stoked as well because I mean grass fed organic? Yes please! And then get this, when I go to order they say they don't take orders more then 10! WTF. I tried to rationally talk it out, since they have a catering menu on their website, how this makes a difference and the chick goes "I've had people try and bribe me, they just won't do it." Then I asked if I could just place an order for ten then call back with an order for four, and she said that wouldn't work....even though it would....Uhm...Right.
So here's my official review of that place DONT GO THERE. It's just like the Griddle Cafe, they're so high on themselves and know that they have great food that they're total DICKS to people who try and order from them. I mean, also shooting themselves in the foot by losing business of all the production companies in the area.
To pull it together last minute I went to ol' faithful known as the alcove. And talk about a total switch around, the woman was so pleasent on the phone, they went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. And get this...gave us a free PIE. And not like a small pie. Like a ginormous pecan pie! (that I couldn't have)(I made up that it wasn't vegan)
For lunch I got a really nommy chinese wrap that I don't know the name of I just said asian cuisine, tofu please and they whipped it together. Now THAT's how you start off being vegan.
The rest of the day was a blur of work, an amazing conversation with Sydney that could start the venture of the rest of our lives (oo!) And then watched the film Alpha Dog which kind of made me want to kill myself. Christ, talk about depressing movies.
Rio ticket next week!!!
